Telekom Slovenije and Samsung once again launch special edition Pink Ribbon phones to make a donation to Europa Donna

This year Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Samsung Galaxy A51 will be available in the promotion.

​Europa Donna put regular monthly self-checks and early breast cancer detection at the forefront of this year’s Pink October, as it leads to a more successful and less intensive therapy, fewer late effects, and a lower mortality rate. “If you feel or discover any change, do not be taken aback by the limitations in healthcare related to the novel coronavirus, but instead persist and consult with your doctor or gynaecologist. This is very important and key for successful therapy. To assist you with regular self-checks, you can also use the free mobile app Breast Test,” says Tanja Španić, the president of Europa Donna Slovenia.

The Breast Test app is an effective tool for regular and correct breast self-examination. It includes a menstrual calendar, the option of setting reminders for monthly self-checks, a diagram depicting correct self-checks, chronological notes on the conditions and the detected changes, as well as a record of physical activities. The free app can be downloaded from Google Play or App Store.

Breast cancer is the most frequent type of cancer among women, but men can also get it. According to the Cancer Registry of Slovenia, 1399 women and 10 men fell ill with breast cancer in 2017. In that same year 433 women and two men died as a result of breast cancer. Successful therapy and lower mortality rates depend especially on raising awareness of healthy living, early detection and immediate effective and patient-tailored therapy.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and the Samsung Galaxy A51 are available from Telekom Slovenije as the promoted devices, Modri Fon. With a 24-month contract, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is available from EUR 14.54 per month, while the Samsung Galaxy A51 is available from EUR 9.79 per month.
