Slovenian ski slopes have just received a fresh batch of snow, and there is more good news, as skiers can now purchase ski passes for Krvavec using the VALÚ mobile app/smart wallet.
Those who purchase Krvavec ski passes using VALÚ can load them directly on their keycard, thereby skipping the ticket line when arriving at the ski slope. User who do not have their own keycard yet, can select the voucher option upon their first purchase, and visit the ski slope ticket office, where they will receive their keycard with the purchased passes. In cooperation with mojekarte.si users can now also purchase tickets for numerous sports matches and cultural events, such as concerts, theatre shows, festivals and literary events using VALÚ.
With this feature VALÚ is expanding beyond mobile payments, fund transfers between users, account sharing, and identification services into infrastructure services. Users have already been able to purchase train tickets for Slovenian Railways using VALÚ, and it is also connected with the apps Popkart, Urbana and Študentska prehrana.
In order to use the VALÚ smart wallet, users must first download the app from Google Play or Apple App Store. The next step is a registration with a mobile number (applies to all Slovenian mobile numbers) and an email address, which creates a basic profile that can at any time be upgraded to an advanced one free of charge. After a successful registration, users can put e-money in their VALÚ account and use it to make payments as long as they have any credit. All those who choose to upgrade their VALÚ profile to advanced, receive a €5 credit.
VALÚ can be used for payments at more than 3,000 points of sale across Slovenia, and the network is constantly growing.
