The NEO platform, which introduced a completely new experience of watching and finding TV content using voice commands, is now available to subscribers of Telekom Slovenije’s TV services also as the NEO TV Lite app.
NEO TV Lite is an app for smart TVs with the Android TV operating system version 7.0 or above. This makes the NEO solution now available to subscribers through the NEO Smartbox, NEO app for smartphones and tablets, and now also the app for smart TVs.
NEO TV Lite allows users to watch TV and radio channels, on-demand content, recording and watching catch-up content for up to 7 days on up to five different devices (smart TVs, mobile phones and tablets). The app includes TV channels in optimum quality with adaptive bitrate technology.
NEO TV Lite is available to subscribers of Telekom Slovenije’s TV services, who have at least one NEO Smartbox, and the NEO TV Lite can be used for their second or third household TV set.
The NEO TV Lite app can be managed with the TV set’s remote, and comes with the same channel list from the NEO Web channels that the user can watch on their mobile app or on www.neo.io. NEO TV Lite does not support voice commands or purchasing films from the video store, however, a subscriber may purchase a film through NEO Smartbox and then watch it on NEO TV Lite.
The price for the NEO TV Lite option is €1.49 (VAT included). Orders can also be placed through Moj Telekom account management portal, NEO Smartbox or when setting up NEO TV Lite on your smart TV set.
Telekom Slovenije recommends that users check whether NEO TV Lite is available for their TV before installing the app from the app store of their smart TV, as some entry-level TV set manufacturers use Android operating system versions that are not recognised as proper Android TV.
